Aging and Adult Providers’ Online Training is your exclusive source for web based Marchman Act Training. This course is provided under sponsorship of the Department of Children and Families Mental Health and Substance Abuse Unit.
This course is designed as an overview of the Marchman Act, with emphasis on substance abuse impairment. Because of the growing awareness of the problems associated with this disease and its effects on society, the focus of this course is addiction, alcohol use disorder {AUD} and information regarding alcohol abuse in the elderly.
This course is recommended for all professionals dealing with clients experiencing substance abuse impairment, and possibly needing Marchman Act services. ALF administrators, managers, and staff are eligible to enroll. Families and individuals will benefit from learning this material.
There is no charge for the standard certificate of completion. For participants seeking CE Broker* approval, there is a $5.00 processing fee for that version of the certificate. A passing score of 80% or higher is required for either certificate option. Coursework is fully online, formatted with PowerPoints, graphics, voice overlay, and videos.
